Punjab School Education policy for recruitment of educators has been updated in 2016-17. According to new policy, each candidate living in the same village where vacant post is will be awarded 12 marks. If a student lives in the village of his school (where he wants to apply for job) he will be awarded 12 marks. If vacant post is nearby village or town but in the same Union Council then he will be rewarded 08 marks.
